Last weekend, Luke Hoang competed in the prestigious Steinway/Avanti Future Stars Piano Competition at Arizona State University. This event showcases very high levels of artistry and is extremely competitive for classical repertoire performance. Luke competed against students between ages 15-18 around the valley and came 2nd Place, winning $500!

Luke Hoang has been studying piano here at Yamaha Music School since he was 4 years old. He graduated from the Yamaha Program with his Grade 6 Exam in 2015 and has submitted an original composition to the National and International JOC Competition for many years. We hope you'll enjoy two of his pieces: Tokyo Suite and Saturday Procrastination (see below). Luke currently studies privately with Ms. Karen Nguyen.
