EVYMS was pleased to invite world-renowned composer and keyboard artist Phillip Keveren to host our 2017 Summer Improvisation Camp from May 30 through June 1. Mr. Keveren taught the students a variety of musical styles on the keyboard, including Montuno and 12 Bar Blues. The students were also able to practice improvisation with him in Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionistic, Ragtime, Tango, and New Age styles.

Phillip Keveren is well known for his own compositions and performances. He is the co-author, major composer, and orchestrator for the internationally acclaimed Hal Leonard Student Piano Library. For more information on his work, visit Mr. Keveren's website. We are so glad he could bring his expertise to inspire our students at Yamaha.
